This family sought to enhance their front patio's privacy while improving the overall landscaping. The design needed to address soil retention for an eroding garden mound, while also capturing a relaxed, coastal aesthetic. To add structure and prevent further erosion, boulders were strategically placed to retain the mound and protect the adjacent pathway. A new wooden screen, replacing an old, unstable archway, provided immediate privacy for the front patio, transforming the space into a peaceful, private sanctuary. A more traditional cottage garden style was incorporated into the backyard to create a cozy retreat.
